An unusually slow-moving weather system has drawn monsoonal rain from tropical north Queensland down to the state’s southwestern outback, delivering a year’s worth of rainfall in just days—and more is still to come. These record-breaking floodwaters will gradually make their way into South Australia, eventually flowing into Lake Eyre. This tour offers a rare opportunity to witness Lake Eyre at its most spectacular, transformed into a shimmering inland sea teeming with life!

Overnight Ibis Hotel, Broken Hill
