UPDATES ON WATER LEVELS OF LAKE EYRE:
The 2025 flood at Kati Thanda–Lake Eyre is shaping up to be the most significant since 1974. This year’s flooding is particularly noteworthy due to record-breaking rainfall in Queensland during March, leading to extensive flooding in river systems like the Cooper Creek and Diamantina River . These floodwaters are now making their way into Lake Eyre, cand the current influx of water is expected to result in the deepest levels observed in at least 15 years.
