This morning, take an in-depth tour to learn about Norfolk Island’s Convict History at the World Heritage Listed Georgian settlement of Kingston. This whole area is a living showcase of Polynesian, convict and Pitcairn Islander history. Visit the cemetery, as well as the old houses along Quality Row. Walk through the ruins of the New Gaol, see the Pier Store, Boat Shed and the Crank Mill. the afternoon is at leisure. This evening, you will enjoy dinner – “Night as a Convict”. Dress as a convict and join in with the Commandant for an evening of gaiety, feasting, singing, and dancing. We supply the outfit – all you need to do is bring your sense of humour! And prepare yourself for a delicious meal with your new friends. Please Note: Your convict suits will be available at the hotel reception ready to collect this morning.

Today is at leisure to enjoy the island at your own pace. You may wish to shop duty-free in town using the hotel’s complimentary shuttle or explore the island with an optional car hire available (subject to availability).

B/Morning Tea

This morning, enjoy a half day tour of Norfolk Island. Visit some of Norfolk’s key historic areas, including Kingston, Cascade and Longridge. This is your chance to learn all about the fascinating history of Norfolk Island. See the famous convict buildings and enjoy the stories told in the full commentary as we visit each new place. Take in the amazing views from the lookouts, where you will get to enjoy the beautiful beaches in all their glory. Learn about Norfolk Island government, laws and of course their unique lifestyle. Some of the highlights include the renowned Melanesian Chapel and a visit to the grounds of an old island home – where you will be served morning tea. The afternoon and evening are at leisure.
