We spend a relaxing day cruising the Danube, making a border control stop in Mohacs to go through customs.

Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, is the country’s political, cultural and economic centre. Today, our excursion takes us to the picturesque town of Sremski Karlovci – known as Karlowitz. After a walk through Sremski Karlovci, you visit the museum of beekeeping and a wine cellar that is over 300 years old, where you learn all about Serbian wine making and, of course, taste Serbian wines.

This morning, discover the beautiful port of Rousse, known as Little Vienna. Our excursion takes us on a tour to some of the city’s architecturally significant structures. We cruise on to Oltenita for a further customs stop.

Once part of Bulgaria, it is now an important Romanian port and is considered the gateway to the Danube Delta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Today, we board small boats with a maximum of 8 passengers and explore the smallest delta arms and bringing you up close and personal to the flora and fauna of the area.

This morning we immerse ourselves in the secrets of Orthodoxy and monastic life at the Celic Dere Monastery. We continue on to the Saon Nunnery, currently home to 33 nuns, where a small wine tasting on site is a must! After our morning’s explorations, our cruise departs Tulcea and takes us right into the Delta – an exciting passage with splendid views.

We call at Oltenita today, just 60km from Romania’s capital, Bucharest, the ‘Paris of the East’. Our included tour begins with a huge highlight: the monumental Palace of the Parliament, which is the second largest administrative building in the world, after the Pentagon. We also visit the neoclassical Royal Palace, the University Square and the giant triumphal arch in classical Roman style. We depart Bucharest, stopping at Giurgiu for a border control stop to pass through customs.

At the eastern end of the “Iron Gate” on the Cataract route, the historic town of Turnu Severin awaits you, in the middle of Romania’s Little Wallachia. Our included excursions takes us on a walk through the city past the listed water tower and the remains of Trajan’s Bridge.

Our included excursion today takes us in to Novi Sad’s old town by bus, characterised by narrow lanes lined with colourful houses, and grand churches everywhere you look. After enjoying some free time, we return to the ship.

Today is spent cruising the Danube with a border control stop in Mohacs.

The city of Budapest has 7 bridges in total, spanning the river between the neighbourhoods of Buda and Pest. Enjoy an unobstructed view of Budapest most famous parliament building from the sun deck of our ship. Our included excursion today is an exclusive tour of Budapest’s culinary highlights. Discover the Budapest Market Hall, one of the largest in Europe and not to be missed! We take a tram along the banks of the Danube to a strudel house to try the typical strudel with meat and sauerkraut, and a walk to Cafe Gerbaud for sweet treats.

Today we arrive in stunning Vienna, Austria’s capital city, famous for its imperial history and culture. With its wealth of museums, galleries, palaces and castles, plus the state opera and many theatres, the city enjoys a lively cultural scene all year-round. Our included excursion takes us to Schönbrunn Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once a summer residence, later the year-round residence of Emperor Franz Joseph, Schönbrunn Palace is an integral part of Vienna’s history.
